I upgraded my contract 4 days ago after a long dramatic few days of utterly disgustingly poor service from vodacom - both vodashop and vodacom customer care and vodacom upgrades.

I am a reasonable person but I am reaching the limits of what I can take from vodacom.

I upgraded to a Z10 on a Smart S package a few days, didnt use the phone for the first day - left it to charge for the time told to me by the vodashop. Then I did a sim swap because the Z10 uses micro sims.

That day the sim was inserted and it was registering. That night the phone was placed on my bedside table. I woke up and wanted to check the time, ALAS the phone was dead... even though it had 40% power. I switched the phone on and all was okay... then 2 hours later I woke up and the phone was dead again - whilst it still had power.

I took the phone to work the next day and ALAS this stupid thing switched itself off again.

NOW, I am told that the handset needs to go in to Vodacome even though it is within the OTB time frame. There is no replacement handset... so how the and I am supposed to get connected if this handset goes in to Vodacom for an undisclosed time before a handset can be given.
