Double Handset charge after upgrade

On 2 January 2014 I went for my upgrade at the Vodashop at Wonderpark. I got my new phone but today 8 Jan 2014 I received my monthly invoice. Now Vodacom is billing me for my old handset and my new handset. At no point did the person assisting me mention to me that I will still be paying for my old handset and now I hear from customer care that I will be paying this for the next two months. This is utterly unacceptable. Vodacom never informed me of this after numerous calls to customer care, upgrades department and during my upgrade and now expect me to pay for two devices. How do you expect me to afford it?
