BIS and device insurance was not canceled

After religiously filling out the Contract Migration forms (to move to one of the Smart Standard contracts) and confirming that BIS and device insurance are canceled, I received an invoice from Vodacom one month later stating that BIS and device insurance are still active.
Phoning the call center did not help as their hands are tied and they can only respond to what they see on the system.
I am aware that one can use a Blackberry on any contract, but why would I migrate off the Blackberry contract onto a Smart plan with inclusive data, and still have my BIS active? Does that make sense?
Now, I am forced to pay for another month of BIS and insurance.
I expect Vodacom to actually cancel these services with immediate effect and not deduct any monies from my account end of the month.
