On the 22nd of December I lost a smart device which was insured with Fnb. I logged a claim on 23 December 2013. Other than any communication from me, the insurance people did not communicate with me at all. After numerous enquiries, I submitted all their required documents to process the claim.

Having had no response from them, I bought myself a new device to communicate with loved ones over festive season. On the 3rd of January after another follow up, I was told that the claim was approved and that the new device will be shipped to me from Cape Town while I am in Pretoria. I was also told that I would be responsible the the shipment fees.

I advised the cellucity consultant that I already have a new device. So he cancelled the package and advised that he would let the insurance know. I had to personally call the insurance as nothing happened from that point onwards. The insurance consultants advised that they would settle the device. To date nothing has happened. This month, I paid for a device I no longer own and insurance on it.

Can someone tell me how to get the insurance to settle the smart device account because the claim was settled.
