BILLING ME ALTHOUGH CANCEL CONTRACT

Hi my name Sierajudien Patel. I took out a contract in August 2010.when it was almost the expiry date i gave 30 days notice saying i would like to cancel. For some odd reason the cancel did not go through.when i enquired the call centre said they never received any letter requesting i want to cancel.the consultant and the Canal Walk confirmed he sent the request to cancel threw and he gave me the proof that he sent it through. What do i do as im feel it is totally unfair for me to pay any extra charges. Mweb is effecting my credit. I applied for a House loan but was denied because of MWeb.
