No Telephone and no ADSL

My Telkom phone line & ADSL is now off from the beginning of March. I've had three or four faults already this year, but all of them were repaired promptly. I was very satisfied, until now, I reported the fault and received a Ref no. 254CTK160313.By the 20th March I received a SMS stating that there is a cable fault in the area and that my services should be restored 25th April.
My reason for complaining here is that there is no way to find out what the situation is. When I logged onto Telkom's website recently, to check on the progress, the message was still the same, although it was already May. How long must a cable be to take so long to dig up and replace?
We live on a smallholding near Henley-on-Klip. I work 12-Hour shifts, including night shift, 19:00 to 07:00. I am really concerned that my wife stays at home at night, with me at work, and no means of contacting anybody, or be contacted, should there be an emergency. The Cell phone reception is extremely bad where we stay. Most of the time there is no reception. Please HELP...!
