Telkom Weekend and Evening Plan - Be careful

Dear All,

Please be careful when calling on the weekends or in the evenings to the TELKOM numbers. Due to the porting that happens, a 011 or 012 number could be very well be with Neotel or someone else. If this happens and you call the number in the evening or weekends, you will get charged. There is no way that you will come to know that you are calling other operator number.
It came as a shock to me when my bill was high without knowing the number being ported.

I would like TELKOM to have a message when the number is dialled and before it rings to state that this is a non-telkom number and would you still like to continue especially in the evening or weekends if the subscriber has a plan and they call at the time. If the subscriber wants to still continue they can else will not be for a surprise high bills for the calls.

I have logged a dispute with Telkom for this and expect someone from the management to take a note of this and take corrective action so that other subscribers don't get surprises.
