For months I have tried in vain to get Telkom to fix their internet service to my home. Although I have a 4096 account, I rarely get above 1 meg. When it is quiet at night the performance may go up, but during business hours it drops off again. It almost appears as if the Kloof exchange does not have enough bandwidth to go around. Whenever I log a fault, no one comes, and 2 days later I get a SMS to tell me the fault is fixed. When I call to log another fault, I'm told it must be my router, or a microfilter. All of these I have changed twice, but nothing helps. Now the DSL light starts flashing when I pick up a handset. Please send help - and yes, I am willing to pay the unnecessary callout fee if it is not Telkom's fault. Just send someone so that they can see for themselves!
