ARTIST Mr Geritt Kapp of Body Flo

My parents (both pensioners) signed up for a gym membership (0196 and 0127) with BodyFlo. The gym was attracting new members at Northmead Mall in Benoni in Dec 2012. The gym was supposed to have opened in June 2013. My folks paid a R700 joining fee (R350 each).

The gym was never opened, when my parents called the owner, Mr Gerrit Kapp, he indicated that another gym (Health World) would honour this membership in Benoni. When my parents approached this gym there was an additional joining fee. Mr Kapp was called again requesting for the membership fee that was paid be refunded. He offered a refund for only one membership fee as my folks were reneging on their contract.

Reneging on a contract for a gym which was never opened??? Is this even possible. They signed up for a gym membership that was being opened in Benoni. If the gym was never opened how is it possible that they are at fault and cannot be refunded. Till today he has refused to refund the money. I'm sure that there were other people that were out of their money in Benoni.

BodyFlo clearly are not an honest establishment and really should be taken to task.
