My husband bought a Sony TV and surround sound system from the Sony store in Gateway. The store manager - Rory - offered to do the installation, which he duly did. After a few days we noticed that when we switched the TV off in the TV room, the TV in our bedroom also went off. That TV is a Samsung. We complained to Rory and some staff members were sent out to correct the fault. After spending some time trying various things they said that they had no idea why this was happening. They said that they would get back to us. After waiting for a few weeks with no contact from them my husband phoned Margarete Hirsch. She then accused him of fiddling with the settings and said that it was costing her money to send people out and that we must just swop it for another brand of TV. But then what about the Sony surround sound? They set it up, not us. We paid a lot of money for this system and have been very disappointed with her attitude. We just want it to work properly. When my husband told her that we had been supporting her for 30 years but would never buy from her stores again she said that would be fine. Maybe Hirsch has gotten too big for its boots. Meanwhile we still have the problem.
