Cannot exchange cause I lost my invoice

I bought clothes to the amount of R 910 cash at I dentity. I lost my invoice and went to the shop to ask if I could exchange two of the five items I bought cause the sizes don't fit, apparently the company policy doesn't allow to exchange if you have lost the invoice and they cannot track it on the system cause it was bought cash they can only do that for accounts, I asked if they could look for the store's copy that I signed or check the barcodes on the clothes surely it will show when the clothes were invoiced out of the system, they can't as they don't keep invoices instore they send them away everyday, firstly the exchange policy was not explained to me and why do they sell things on cash if they don't keep a record of it, the other thing one of the ladies said if I asked nicely they could have helped me, why should I beg for an exchange if I am a client. The lady didn't even bother to look at the clothes if the tags are still there to see if there is any signs of physical damage or if the clothes have been worn or not, I understand that I lost my invoice but I JUST WANTED AN EXCHANGE NOT A REFUND, I just want my money, I will never go back to that store again
