Damaged goods delivered twice

I ordered 4 pedistals, plasma stand, bookshelf, file cabinet (don't know the correct name), study desk, 2 paintings. They were all delivered as planned. The file cabinet coud'nt open and the bookshelf was chipped so i sent them back. What was strange was that the chip was covered with a white substance to "hide" it. The manager was very instrumental in organizing the second delivery by coordinating with the warehouse which i appreciated.

The second delivery took place. However it happened in the morning instead of the afternoon as planned. My helper signed them off. To my horror, the bookshelf was chipped, at a different place than the one initially delivered. Again, the chipped area was covered with a white substance.

This is the kind if iterm that is sold in clearance sales. I feel cheated that i paid full price for it.

I didn't request them to deliver for the third time because they obviously have no items in stock that dont have defects. I like the book shelf and willing to live with the dent. However i think it is unethical business practice to intentionally sell customers deffective goods without their knowledge and would like it to be addressed.
