No Return or exchange poilicy from DC (Alrode)

Hi,

I bought a LG 42 inch TV from the DC in Alrode over the weekend (30/03.2013). I am not happy at the moment as the TV does not play any Movie files from the USB and only cater's for images and music files, I want to get my money back or a voucher so i can purchase another TV from a House and Home store.
I have been to the DC in alrode today and spoke to Jason donohue and he spoke with his OPS manager Wikus smuts and advised that they cannot do anything for me. No Return, Exchange or even a voucher that I can purchase something else from the House and home store. I cannot believe that I am NOW stuck with something that does not server a purpose for me!

I have not even used the TV and it's is still in the condition when I bought it and i only have taken out the manual to have a look at what the TV can do and not do. Please advise as I was not aware that I cannot return something that I not NOT happy with!

As it stands I stand to loose R5500 for something that I do not even want to use!

Please can someone assist me?
