I went to the customer service department to request authority to purchase using my husbands account as I've done on numerous occasions. They have to access the account details/status to provide me with a slip giving me authorisation which was done. I then go do my shopping. Get to the till to pay when I offer to pay any due instalments. Again, card is swiped and account accessed and I make the payment. Then I get told that the card is blocked! Cashier not sure but when I tell her I had been to customer services already to get this authorisation why wouldn't they have said anything then?! She says we will have to go back. I get to customer services and begin to update my husbands details when it dawns on them it's not my account - as I said to her, I'd just been to her to get authority to use his!? No it's not my account but phone my husband... no sorry can't do. He has to be here!!! Again I ask why they wasted my time allowing me to shop that surely this should've been picked up at the time I first came to them?! All I get is sorry mam! Absolutely pathetic!!! Never will I set foot in an Edgars store again and my husband will be closing the account!!!
