I bought 8 garden chairs on Wednesday 13th March for R299 each. The next day the chairs were advertised at R200 each. Feeling I had been given the runaround by the manager, who must have known about the specials coming in on the next day, I wrote to customer services to complain.
Within 2 hours I had a response from Ms Taute saying I could get a price beat when I next went in the store. Expecting all kinds of problems, it couldn't have gone more smoothly. I was told about the 21 day price beat and within a few minutes I had my refund, no questions asked, politely and efficiently, and this was midmorning on a Saturday as well. I apologise to the manager for thinking I'd had a raw deal - I hadn't, and thank you Ms Taute for your quick response. Thank you to the Shelly Beach staff for their quick, polite efficiency. Good stuff.
