False promises

I went to buy a washing machine. I was assisted at the Newcastle branch and found the machine I was looking for. At the time I showed the assistant a Specials pamphlet and asked that they match the price se told me that I have to take it at the floor price, I asked for a manager to come and assist as the assistant did know of the price beat that is advertised.
The manager showed up and I showed him the specials pamphlet, he then said he has to match the series number and it matched by which he responded the store that is running the special is out of stock he cant help me I must pay the floor price he then turned around and walked away!
I cant see why its got anything to do with him whether the other shop has got stock or not... that is definitely not price beat or customer assistance (he didn't even offer to see if he can tri and make a plan)
needless to say I went back to the other store and purchased another machine
Really unhappy with the "MANAGER" service!!!
