Pick 'n Pay
Not applying "scan right guarantee"

Shops, Products, Services

I was overcharged on a Drostdy wine at Pick n Pay Bedworthpark. The corresponding bar code on the shelf said R114.99, but I was then charged R123.99. Pick n Pay's "scan right guarantee" says "any item which is not charged correctly according to the corresponding bar code, will then be given to the customer for free".

I was then told however, when I asked to talk to the manager, that the guarantee does not apply to alcoholic products. She also said that it has always been the case.

My complaint is that is does not say on their signage that alcoholic products are excluded. I specifically went to look at it. So according to me, until they change it, it constitutes false advertising.
