Cancel orders without notifying - beg for refund

I placed an order with Home Choice 21/12/2012 and paid the full amount due.

My first incounter was when phoning to find out when they will deliver the goods, because I was going on holiday, and didn't want the couriers to arrive at dead man's door. I was told by the consultant they take up to 8 days to deliver, a sms will be sent the day they deliver, I need to make sure someone is home. After a third attempt the goods will be returned to Cape town. I advised the gent it might happen before we return from leave. I was told in not so many words... TO BAD

On my return from holiday in January I phoned to follow up on my order, only to find out my order was CANCELLED!!! Without notifying me, and no attempt to contact me and ask me do I require a refund, or would I like to order something in it's place.
I then required an immediate refund, this was already done 02/01/2013, today 11/01/2013, I'm still waiting for the refund, after I've been told different reasons for the refund not been done from every single consultant I had phoned over the past 10 days.

THis is completely unacceptable, and I find the service disgusting.
