Pick n Pay Don't care about Pensioners

Shops, Products, Services

Our son receives a monthly social pension from SASSA which can be cashed using a card at Pick n Pay branches.
On 08/11/12 he went to Plattekloof branch to draw the pension. This was refused due to "Insufficient " funds. My wife and I subsequently went back to ascertain what was happening and on drawing a statement at the couner saw that there were bank charges debited against the account. The till slip states clearly" Full cash back and no Fees".
This was brought to the attention of the PR lady at the branch NATALIE. She requested that I forward to her documents relating to the transaction. This was done.
On hearing nothing further I was advised that the documents had been "lost". I then sent them a second time. I was also requested to send the same papers to ZELDA GOLDEN at PNP who would also investigate. Since then not a word from PNP.
Then on 07 Feb we tried the online PNP "contact me" website and have again been ignored.

We must conclude therefore, that PNP are not bothered with pensioners- they obviously don't feature in the target market. If PNP cannot communicate with its customers or does not want to, then rather just say so and we will all know where we stand. Wake up PNP!
