I took my mother to the Pick 'n Pay Moreleta Mini Market today so that she could make a pension withdrawal with her Sassa card. We went to the cigarette kiosk which was manned by Julie. There was a customer ahead of us, who had just completed his purchase and paid for it using his card. After completion of the transaction, Julie carried on having a conversation with this customer on personal matters and had a total disregard for us as awaiting customers. When the customer and Julie eventually finished their conversation, we approached her requesting a withdrawal of R 1400, she informed us that she did not have that amount in her till and we needed to go to the atm or another cashier. She made no attempt to obtain the amount in concern. We then went to Lindiwe Ngcobo, another cashier and made the same request. She informed us that she did not have that amount in her till. I requested that she ask the supervisor to obtain the amount for her. She did perform this request while making strange noises, indicating her disgust at having to do this. These two incidents indicate that poor customer service is the norm at Pick 'n Pay. I am now another lost customer to Pick 'n Pay.
