We purchased a camera 4 my daughter 4 Xmas on 17/12/2011, camera was in working condition until a few weeks ago, she was busy taking photos & then all of a sudden the camera stopped taking photos. We took camera back 2 HiFi Corporation @ The Glen on 03/01/2013 as this was still under warranty, technician informed us that Nikon will have a look & we would be called in 21days time, this never happened! I called on 31/01/2013 & spoke 2 Cynthia who informed that the camera had physical damage 2 it & that I had 2 pay R970 4 this 2 b repaired (keep in mind we bought the camera 4 R699.99) when I asked her what the physical damage was she 1st couldn't answer me then after been put on hold she came back saying it was due 2 a fall/water damage (which I cannot understand cause the camera still went on & when we booked it in it was in good condition, it was just not taking photos), the following day we went 2 HiFi & spoke 2 Thomas who was helpful @ the time & was going 2 take this further with his Area Manager, we never had any feedback from him. On the 06/02/2013 a person called informing my husband that it is still physical damage & that they were also going 2 get the manager involved. Still no word...
