USELESS CAMERA

Sent my Coolpix AW100 that had only been used twice into SA Camera and 3 weeks later after many calls&conflicting information I have finally got a written response as to what the actual issue is.the first time my camera was used in salt water it went off and we assumed that the battery was flat. When opening it up we realized that water had gotten inside it we then took the battery and memory card out and let the camera dry over night. I had to follow up and call SA Camera to find out the status of my camera and was told on the 30August that Nikon would replace it as you only replace water damaged cameras&you do not repair them.i asked when i could pick up the replacement&was told that Nikons systems were down and that they didnt know what stock they had and that i would be contacted the following week, i was called the next week by the manager of SACamera to say that my camera will not be replaced as the water damage was due to negligence-a camera that had only been used twice! When enquiring what negligence i was then told that A GRAIN OF SAND was found in the rubber and that proves negligence.(I was on a beach holiday&the camera had only been used twice!) this is unacceptable!!!
