I need new unIt

My wife Bought. MTN. CellPhone for me as present on the 15/01/2014 there was no manual on it, and when I was using it was freezing, goes in a safe mode on its own, she gave it to me as a present I brought It back on monday they refuse to gIve me new they tell me a lot of stories, that was bad service for me because that phone I use for three days only, Please advise
