Cashier did not adhere to my request

I went to a Woolworths at kwagga branch on the 3rd of January 2013. I presented a gift voucher to the cashier to view the balance and told me its R200. I bought items which I told her to use the voucher and I would pay the difference using my debit card. Days after the transaction I saw through my bank notifications that she did not use the card voucher and I've lost it as I though she has used it. I went to the branch to query and they told me the card department cant help me without the card though I gave the slip the cashier used for the checking the balance. I feel that this situation is not handled well as it was the cashiers fault for not using the voucher. I cant just loose R200 due to the negligence caused by your staff member. I've been calling the customer service for days without no luck and called the branch and they keep on promising to call me back once the matter has been settled.
