Refusing repair due to no BOX supplied

Bought Tony & Guy hairdryer at Clicks in George while on holiday in August last year. The item packed up last week where it only blows cold air. Hubby was kind enough to take it in for exchange with till slip and accessories and inner plastic packaging. The store refused to assist in any was because I did not have the box!! How crazy - they refuse to replace a product that is genuinely faulty, no physical damage what-so-ever. So I call the Clicks HQ in Cape Town and they can only log a complaint but there's nothing they can do because of suppliers etc. Uhm, who's problem is that... surely not the customer using the product. And no where on the invoice does it state to retain packing in the event of failure. It refers to returning original packaging when returning within 60 days if you do not WANT the unit - not for faulty items!!! Disgusting service!!! Never buying another electrical product from Clicks AGAIN. I would like to be refunded in CASH and tot exchange or a voucher as I do not want another product from Clicks, due to future failure!!! I will take my "little" cash elsewhere and spend extra money with a store that has better customer service / policies!!!
