WHY MAKE PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS BUT REPOSSES GOODS

I was on unpaid maternity leave and did not pay my house & home furniture account for 6months, no one called to ask me why or to arrange payments. On the 2nd of january i went back to work and later that day i received a call from a lady in their collections department n threatened to reposses the washing machine if i dont pay r183 on or before the 3/1/2014. That same day i paid R366 via EFT. On the 16/01/2014 my sister called me in the morning to inform me that the guy is there to reposses the machine, i called the lady from the collections department and why are they taking it hence i paid, she came up with some ling story about me owing too much therefore they had to take it, what me off is the fact that i paid like she asked and she didnt keep her part of the agreement. The guy took the machine and my sister asked for 3months to pay off the R1753 that was due and they agreed. On the 24-01-2014 i received a letter stating that they are going to auction my machine to the public. Why make arrangements with me and not keep them. My name is being dragged through the mud and im in the dark regarding this account. Where do i stand? Why pay for something that is being auctioned
