Failure to send proof of paid up account

I paid remaining amount on my account on the 20th of December and closed account with immediate effect on the 24th of December due to unhappiness on how my account was handled over the past year. I was promised by the consultant i spoke to at the store that my confirmation would be sent via post but i received nothing. I went to the Bellville branch on the 6th of January to follow up on this confirmation and the shop assistant called the call centre, who promised that i would be sent the confirmation within 48 hrs and to date i have received nothing. I called again this morning and spoke to a consultant at the call centre, who couldn't even give me an estimated time of when this confirmation would be sent. I am so disgusted by the poor service and would like to plea to anyone that is even considering opening an account with Truworths to think twice as they would be subjected to the same treatment i have received!
