Trying to close account

I have called and been called five times now trying to get confirmation out of Virgin money that I have paid the final amount for my Virgin Credit Card and closed the account. The account is finally closed and all monies paid and they acknowledge that but still they cannot send me the confirmation letter instead I get yet another call yesterday from a stupid call centre agent asking me all the same questions again FOR SECURITY - AND STILL NO CONFIRMATION THAT THE ACCOUNT IS CLOSED has been sent to my email address.
