Waiting more than 1month and 15 days for a credit

Purchased 2 sunglasses from sunglasshut at the end of November 2013. Was informed by the consultant that if I was not happy with either one of the glasses I could return it and get an immediate refund. I returned the one pair on the 1st Dec 2013 and was issued with a credit note but no money- the reason I was given was that they were not allowed to do a credit in-store, it had to be done by Head office and it will take 7-10 working days - well this is not what they told me when they sold me the prodct. After numerous phone calls, messages, etc. I still have not received my credit and nobody is willing to assist me - Today is the 16th Jan 2014 and still no credit - when I phone the store I am informed that they cannot authorise it? What does that mean- the money was deducted of my debit card, I have a credit note, but I didn't get my money back. When I requested from the consultants some sort of after-care service, none is to be found- I will definitely not recommend anybody to Sunglass Hut Tygervalley (Consultants in question: Ziaad, Solomon, Mishca)
