Waiting in lines is something that we all have to endure. Bad service and snobby attitudes, not.

The friendly cashier had trouble scanning the Mediterranean Couscous, as the product was apparently not loaded into the database. The till packer left to try to find the price. In the meanwhile, I informed the cashier that the price I saw on the shelf was R19.99. However, the till packer returned still uncertain, and asked a nearby supervisor lady, who said it was R25. A second supervisor lady, Margeret, approached the till to provide authorisation. Both the cashier and I explained that the shelf price was R19.99. The till packer who had been to the relevant isle confirmed the price of R19.99 on the shelf, but explained that there was a miss-match on the tag description. Margeret, who had a condescending attitude from the get-go, remarked that it was R25.99 (from R25, suddenly to R25.99). I tried to explain the situation to her again, but she cut me off with, "Are you going to pay the R25.99 for it, yes or no? " to which I replied, "No." When I inquired about her name, she was scornful and defiant.

When I decide to do business with a particular store, I expect much better treatment.
