Poor service/lack of communication/unproffesional

My husband and I went into the Edgars Store on Sunday to apply for a "New" cellphone contract, we completed and handed everything to the Specialist, as it was a Sunday I understood there would be no feedback until the next day Monday, and I have been getting the run around since. I then lodged a complaint with Edgars Head Office ref no 0801140119_GO. 2 hours later I called the Store and spoke to a female manager who said she had received my complaint and that they have arranged for someone to come in at 1pm to sort out my application. 3pm I called to follow up, they will call me back, caled back, 4pm to tell me that nobody can help me at Edgars and the only option is to go to a vodacom store, which i did, I give the Vodacom person the ID number and within 2 minutes she can tell me that the application is pending documents. She calls the branch, speaks to the manager who says he knows nothing about my complaint and then explains the situation to him. I get a call back from him after a hour telling me he cannot find any documents and that i need to wait until today (thurs), surely this is not the way to treat a new contract client???
