Returning items a nightmare

I've had 2 incidents recently with returns at Edgars:

1. Before Christmas, I bought some baby clothes, a pair of Adidas takkies & a pair of sandals at the Vangate branch. Upon exiting the store I realised that one of the baby vests I bought came in a 2 pack & I had only received 1.I went to a manager and he asked for my receipt. I did not get the receipt back. Got home to find that the shoes didn't fit - tried to return it to Edgars but because I didn't have a receipt I can't get my money back or exchange the item because its branded. Ridiculous!

On 28th December I went to the Bayside branch. The dresses were 50% off - i took 2. When I paid, i realised that I was charged full price for the dresses. I asked the cashier why and she informed me that it was only for "selected" dresses. I walked directly to the returns counter and returned the one dress. The cashier took my receipt. Today i tried to return the other dress due to it having a mark on it. Because i didn't have a receipt (not my fault!!) i could not get a refund & was informed that the dress was on the 50% off sale so i'd only get half the value back.

What terrible service and run around!!
