I received a gift (dress) for my baby that was purchased from Edgards. The gift still had the Edgards tag with the price (R139.99) attached to it. On Sunday I tried to exchange the dress as it small for baby. Unfortunately I could not find the same style dress it was purchased a wihile back. I eventually tried to exchage it with a dress that was maked for R149.99. When the time came to pay I was advised by the cashier (Lebogang) that I had to pay R50.00. When I asked why since there is only a R10.00 difference. She in turn told me that my dress was scanned in at R99.99. I told her but you can clearly see that the dress was R139.99. She told me because I dont have a receipt only the price scanned will be considered. I told her that I explained before hand that this was a gift (even had in a gift bag). She then told me (With an attitude) that that how it is and that if Im not happy then I should leave.
I really dont understang how Edgards can try to make more money out of one purchase when its been clearly marked. All marked down item are priced as such so why are you trying to over charge and with a bad attitude on top of it all
