My sister purchased a pair of Soviet takkies in September 2012 for my husband. It was purchased cash in DBN West Street. We received the takkies in October. He has being using it in October, November and part of December. We noticed that 1 leg the sole is going on 1 side. i went to Eloff street to see if something can be done. the manager Ms. Mali who refuse to even look at the shoes wants me to produce a receipt which i dont have. i have the box with the edgars tag as well as a tag that hold the shoes together, when i showed her all that she said i must call customer services she cannot help me without a receipt. i thus phoned customer services and made a report the lady Ms Thuli said she cannot help me if the manager said she wanted a receipt and then she tells me i must have purchased it anywhere. if the takkies was not R400 i would not have complained but it is alot of money for 2 months to be thrown away. if i bought a pair on the street and paid R100 it would have being fine to take the takkies and throw it away. i cannot beleive that a store like Edgars could say something like that i thank that i dont purchase my belongings in a store like that.
