We ordered a glass table on 03/12/13 - we paid 50% within the hour. We were advised that the table would be delivered on Monday 9th. On the 5th we paid the 2nd 50% to ensure that the delivery went through smoothly. On Monday the same sales person 'phoned to advise us that the supplier had dropped the table so delivery would take place 5 days later, Friday 13th. She would 'phone me before they delivery. We waited all Friday, no 'phone call, no table. At 16.45 I 'phoned Sevens to enq. about the delivery. No, they said, the items are on their way, left 15 min. ago. Again we waited. Keeping in mind Sevens is only 15 min. away from us even in heavy traffic. At 17.55 the supplier arrived. We immediately blasted him for his late delivery & his dropping the table top. He was most upset. He aid he never dropped the table, he only received the order on Monday (9th). When I 'phoned & wanted to speak to the M.D. I was told he was overseas & I could not speak to him. His representative tried to gloss over this blatant breach of trust as merely a "White Lie". For a superior to cover and poor service is not acceptable.
