Can not assist cause they don't have a barcode?

I am shocked to say that I left this store with utter disgust in the "service" that was provided. I wanted to purchase some cigarettes. A carton. They did not have my brand of carton in stock. The message to me after I asked if they can't give me 'loose' ones for a carton's price, was then from the floor manager Norbert, we don't have a code so we can not help you. Then Lesego with not knowing what the word service means, also told me the same thing. I insisted he makes a plan, which he said he could not do. I told him then to phone other branches to get a code, in which he said it will take a long time to do so. I insured he phones, he came back saying NONE of the branches has a code for him... me knowing the mini pick 'n pay down the road has no such problem when they assist me with a smile when they sell it like that to me?! I was waiting from around 17:15 until 17:34 for my transaction to finalise. Is this acceptable? The attitude and total disregard for customer service in this store will leave me with no alternative but to never shop there again. I will take my Christmas shopping elsewhere where they would want the turnover.
