I purchased a Kic fridge from hi fi corp in June 2011 with 2 year guarantee, a few months later we realised it was not sealing around the freezer compartment. I logged a complaint with whirlpool and a technician was sent to sort the problem out, however it was unsuccessful. After a further complaint the unit was replaced with a new unit in May 2012. However the new unit is still giving the same problem. I logged a complaint in May or June of this year, but did so directly via the manager Gansen and was not logged through the customer service line, so they have no record of it. A technician did call me to make arrangements to attend to the problem, however he couldn't accommodate us after 5pm. He said he will get back to me with someone who can come out on a Saturday. No one has contacted me since. Due to personal circumstances I was not able to follow up since. Today I tried to and was told there is no record of my complaint and that the warranty period is over. If I was given a new unit, should the new unit not also come with a two year guarantee like the previous one starting from the day of replacement? I am not happy with the product or the service from the person who called
