We had an account with woolworths which has since been paid in full and a telephonic request to head office to close the account was made on the same day sometime in November 2012. We are in the process of buying a house and having this account still open counts against us. Today I called in to headoffice and spoke to Yusfa Southgate who confirmed the account is closed but can only send proof thereof after 3-4 days. I then explained to her the urgency of having this simply because the mistake was done on your part and not ours. She also told me how we have to wait the queue. Under normal circumstances I would but all I request is a letter stating closure and this should have been done in november already. I need this as a matter of urgency!!!
