Poor Quality Furniture/Lack of Communication

We purchased a (approx R9000) 2 piece beige Hanover Lounge Suite in Dec 2012 from Furniture City Northgate, in September 2013 a beam in one of the couches broke. After alot of running around from our side, I advised Jackson that he needed to inspect the second one for the same problem, both couches were eventually collected. I emailed both Jackson and his manager (Shanitha) advising them that I will not accept a "repair" as the set was only 9 months old, they could either replace both couches or refund me my money - I have proof that my mails were delivered and read. To date the only response I have ever received on email was to my last email when I mentioned that I was taking my issue to HELLO PETER. When I asked about my guarantee/warranty, I was told I only have a 3 month guarantee/warranty after the repair - which takes me to my year guarantee! Whats the point? Ive been advised that my "repaired" set will be delivered today - I find this unacceptable, R9000 is alot of money for an average family to just throw away. I am disgusted with the quality of furniture and the attitude with Ellerines as a whole - I want either a new set or a full refund. Please help me.
