Warranty and you still need to pay for repairs

My furniture was bought at furniture city last year August, my couches started to split at the stitching as a fabric fault! Now my couches are in for repairs for 2 weeks, today denise from furniture city phones me and told me that I need to pay for my repairs???
This is unacceptable! What about a warranty!!!
