Unacceptable policy on exchange of accessories

I purchased a neck piece from the Waterfront branch on the 2nd of October. When I asked to exchange the piece on the 20th of October the cashier consulted the store manager and returned to say it is against store policy to exchange any accessories! I was dumbstruck! and asked to speak to the manager herself. When she came before me she barely gave me a chance to speak and very abruptly responded to my every question and argument with "I'm sorry but we do not allow returns or exchanges". When asked why the particular policy was implemented she said "Because people buy things, wear them and then return them". 1. The manner in which she handled the situation was crude. 2. I am deeply insulted by this policy knowing why the policy was implemented. 3. Why does the same policy not apply for garments as one could also return a worn garment. 4. Accessorize, a store that only sells accessories allows customers to exchange anything purchased from their store if it is not damaged! Your policy makes no sense other than business sense and I'll be damned if I, the customer, must carry your risk! I have rights and I would like to exercise my right to an exchange! And FYI your staff are rude!
