Staff doesn't know their own exchange policy

I went into clicks tembisa to exchange baby pacifiers for something else because I don't use them. I informed the security guard and he directed me to customer services. The person at the counter refused to exchange the item because I didn't have a receipt. I went to the counter to make a purchase and was served by an obnoxious mahlatse. He didn't ask me for a club card and because of this exchange situation forgot to present it to him.when I went back and asked him to return the items and scan them again so I can get my 32 points he refused. He said the policy is if you forget to present your card at the beginning of the sale, then you can't get your points even if you didn't leave the store. The branch in boulders does reverse the sale and start over if you ask. The manager came and exchanged the item but before he could exchange, he told me that they don't exchange if you don't have a slip.. According to their exchange policy that is written on the back of the till slip they DO-exchange without a slip for the current system price. Can somebody please inform the manager and staff of their exchange policy. If they were wrong about this, is mahlatse not wrong about my points?
