Billed 4 Years after settled!!

Hi,

My husband had an account with Joshua door furniture shop about 4 years ago.. He got retrenched due to company liquidation and went to Joshua door personally to hand in that letter of retrenchment since he had insurance who'd cover the debt in full in an event of retrenchment etc.

Now after years the pathetic company shows up at his new work of all places demanding a R950 outstanding bill and said he has been hand over! I am so fed up with South African companies like this who keeps on our people assuming we do not know our rights! And its always the same story line where they try to bill customers after a few years hoping so hard they do not have their retrenchment details anymore.

His name is Theodore Basjan, he were single when this account was open but now that we are married I refuse to allow this store to cheat us out of money!

To go to his workplace for this is completely unacceptable and I will not leave this matter like this.
