I received an SMS from a number 270870415000 (25/09/2013 - 9:31am) informing me of a Edgar's Mobile Pin: 5####, and to activate this I should dial *130*334#. Airtime limits R60daily/R60 monthly. Queries: 0861788211.

I then get a sms from 2782004850000297 saying " Valued Edgars Mobile customer. Thanks you for registering for OTA, simply dial *130*334# to purchase airtime and view your account balance. Queries 0861788211.

I called OTA (A partner of Edgars of some sort) and my issues are many,
1) I did not register for this, and was then informed by OTA that is was automatic. (Why send the sms telling me to register in the first place)
2) The risk of this - with SIM cards, sim swops etc. (R60 per day will add up if, as I would not get any sms notification and it would be pointless anyway if the number is, so only my Edgars statement I assume... 1 month later... R60 times 30 days...
3) the questions, time, money of the call and the bother of having this thing canceled was ridiculous.

OTA and Edgar's process needs work if client satisfaction is what is top of mind. Clearly not in my experience with OTA. Pauline the TL, just put me back to Tshepo.
