Being sued after account closed 7 years

Edgards have appointed De Vries and associates to sue me for supposedly making payment arrangements. I have never spoken to anyone from these offices. A SMS was sent to me to pay as arranged. No one even bothered to call so how where arrangements made. I have also been told that an account should be handed over within a year/ So this id a case of total biased.
