Disgusted on how Edgards lures customers - FREE THANK YOU POINTS
After receiving an sms on the 06 September saying that I have been rewarded with free thank you points to the value of R164 valid from 6 - 8 September and another reminder on the 7th September to spend my "FREE THANK YOU POINTS", I decided to use them on Sunday (8th September).
Before making a purchase I went to customer service (the Glen branch) to make sure that the amount is on the card, which a customer service agent confirmed. After choosing a few items for my kids for the amount, we went to redeem the points at a till, to my surprise the cashier said that I only had about R21 on the card, so we went back to the customer service agent (Siphamandla Madlala) he also said that there was now on an odd twenty something on the card, so I asked how can that be if less than an hour he told me that there was R164 on the card, I asked him to check the last purchase and to see where the amount went, he said that he had to call the head office, which he did but they gave him another number to call, that conveniently was engaged, and he said he could not help us and we should direct our compliant to the head office.
