Card points not awarded

Almost 2 years ago I got a Edgars card to get points every time I purchase something at Edgars. Every month I buy something cash at Edgars and about 2 weeks ago when I purchased an outfit and shoes for my son I decided to see how many points I have accumulated over the past 2 years to use some of it that day. Surprise- it shows zero points---and I have swiped it every time when I purchased something. The personnel do not know how to resolve this and just pulled up their shoulders and said it does happen sometimes with the cards, Have I wasted all my time and money on Edgards with the perception that I will benefit in the long run??? Seems like Edgars only reward points to customers that buys on credit and cash buyers can forget to benefit at all! I did not keep any receipts for proof of purcase or for points, why should I? I was satisfied with everything I bought and the last time I bought my son`s outfit I spend just over R1000. I am extremely dissapointed!!!
