Something for Nothing - Rip off

I was selling my suede couch and googled places that buy second hand furniture- that is how I found Resellit. I contacted them from their website and got a response via email from Daniel Grusin. I did provide pictures of the couch and he said that it looks stained to which I advised it was not and he is more than welcome to come and look at it (which I thought he would need to anyway). The next day I got another email saying he can offer R800! (this couch was R8900.00- and I have the receipt to prove it) We had thankfully managed to sell it so we got our asking price which was two times less than what we paid so it was a good offer for the quality. I just find this disgusting and trying to take people for a ride- if he had come and seen the couch and still offered the same then fine but he had not so how can you make an offer on something you have not seen yourself?
