Appalling service – no delivery and more stories

I bought a couch from furniture city. I paid cash for it and I was charged R300 for delivery. They agreed that they would deliver the couch on Friday 26 July 2013. I made arrangements to make sure that there is someone at home when the couch is delivered. After the long wait the couch was not delivered. I spoke to Tshepo who advised that the couch would be delivered on Saturday (27 July) morning; again the couch was not delivered. I asked them to cancel the deal and give me a refund; they offered me a R1000 voucher and promised to deliver the couch on Monday (29 July) morning. There was no delivery from Furniture City on Monday (29 July) morning and again on Tuesday (30 July) they did not deliver. I have paid them the full amount plus delivery. This is a shop that is struggling to do something as simple as a delivery of a couch! They have not called me to give me feedback or an update; I have to keep contacting them. They keep messing me around and telling me stories, nobody seems to be taking the responsibility. After this bad experience I will never buy anything from them again. I have moved into my new house and my lounge does not have a couch even though I paid cash for it
