We went to your Makro Cape Gate Store to take advantage of your birthday specials. One of the specials is for a Smasung Galaxy SIII Lte on a Vodacom 24 month contract at R249 p/m. Our current contract expired a while back. We were told that this is only for a new 24 month contract which is exactly what we were trying to do as our old contract expired. They said we cannot be a Vodacom customer already to make use of this offer. My first question is why? Are existing Vodacom customers not good enough? Secondly, is this not discrimination? The Consumer Protection Act explicitly states that suppliers may not discriminate against customers? I've called and spoke to Vodacom staff and they stated it is a Makro issue. Mrs Lottering at your Makro branch states that she spoke to head office and we are not allowed to take advantage of this offer. As I stated this is in direct violation of the new consumer protection act.
